It is here! The annual IBS Awards Program is back and IN-PERSON this year at our annual conference in New York City on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Sheraton Times Square.
We do have some pretty big changes this year to the awards. Here is what you need to know:
Entries can only be entered into one category this year.
You've got to decide this year. If you have an awesome show promo that has amazing sound effects, you must choose where you are going to enter it: is going to be your Best Show Promo entry or Best Use of Sound Effects? We don't care which one it is entered in, but if it is entered in both it will be disqualified.
This isn't because we are mean...it is because we are receiving so many entries from schools that we are going to ask you to be choosey this year.
The Deadline for Entries happen at 11:59pm in YOUR TIME ZONE
There was some confusion last year among schools about the deadline to enter, so this year let's be clear.
The early bird deadline is October 16, 2023 at 11:59pm in YOUR TIME ZONE. The late deadline is November 1, 2023 at 11:59pm also in YOUR TIME ZONE.
Entries are time stamped when they are uploaded, so please plan accordingly to ensure your entries are valid.
Late entries are $10 per entry with a maximum of $350 per school.
Last year the maximum per school was $300, so we just want to be clear and transparent with everyone. This only effects you if you enter more than 30 entries during the late entry window.
