The government has passed a spending bill - that means the FCC will be reopening - and you likely still have work to do that you've been putting off due to the shutdown.
The FCC released a Public Notice providing guidance and information regarding its resumption of operations and the extensions of deadlines as a result of the reopening.
The FCC has extended deadlines for all filings that would have been due from October 1, 2025 through November 17, 2025 – the deadlines are now extended “at least until Tuesday, November 18, 2025.”
All broadcast TV and radio stations must now plan to post their 3rd quarter issues and programs lists in their online public inspection files no later than Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
As of this writing, the FCC’s online filing systems (such as the online public inspection file) do not yet appear to be available again, but hopefully they will be brought back online soon.
